From:
MVCBSA Popcorn Team [mailto:adailey@bsamail.org] Memorandum To: all Popcorn Chairs in the Muskingum Valley Council, BSA From: John G. Harding, Scout Executive Re: Arrival of Chocolate Products! We expect our Chocolate products to be delivered to our distribution sites on Tuesday, December 4, 2007. As you know, this delay in chocolate popcorn products, (Chocolate Lovers Tin, the Ohio State Tin and the Chocolatey Caramel Crunch tins) has impacted all of our units in the council and several Boy Scout Councils across the country. Trail’s End has corrected their error and completed the production of our products. We will have the opportunity for you to pick up your product on Wednesday, December 5 and on Thursday, December 6 from 5:30 pm till 8:00 pm at the following sites (click the MAP link for directions -- this will open in a new window): 100, 200 and 500 units: Bloomer Candy Company Warehouse located on Sonora Road. (Same location as previously used.) -- MAP 300 units: Mt. Vernon Machine and Tool, Inc. 8585 Blackjack Rd. Mt. Vernon, OH 43050 (NEW Location to replace JELD-WEN.) -- MAP 400 and 600 units: Muskingum Valley Scout Reservation, at the Dining Hall, 16905 County Road 271, Coshocton, OH. (NEW location to replace the MFM Building Products Warehouse. NO FORK LIFT SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE.) -- MAP We hope these two available time slots will work with your unit’s method to conduct the final distribution of chocolate products. If you need an additional time slot for pickup, please contact your District Professional to arrange another time. The payment date for your popcorn has been extended due to your inconveniences. The payments will be due on or before December 21, 2007. This is a seven day period (one week) added to our original timeline. Please do everything you can to wrap this up prior to the Christmas Holiday. We will also have a $50.00 gift card for your unit, from Trail’s End, to provide compensation as a result of a second pickup and distribution of your products. We hope this helps alleviate the struggles your unit has faced. Please accept our thanks for your patience and assistance in the number one fundraiser for your unit. We also invite you to attend our Popcorn Evaluation meeting on Thursday, January 3, 7:00 pm here at the Council Service Center.

Why do we sell popcorn? Because you have the opportunity to raise all the money your unit needs to fund its entire program with the Trails' End Popcorn Sale. And it could be the one and only fundraiser your unit does! Trails' End returns over 70% of the money raised to support your Unit, Scout families, and our local Council.
