    Welcome to the Muskingum Valley Council's new Internet Recharting Page! Here you will find links to an online tutorial explaining how to use the new system, as well as a page containg some help documentation and some Frequently Asked Questions.  If you have any questions be sure to look at those pages first and then contact your Unit Commissioner or your District Executive.

Recharter Timeline


        December District Roundtables:
            -Recharter packets distributed

        Online Recharter available:
            -12/1/09-03/31/09

        75 Days before the charter renewal date:
            -Membership inventory conducted by the Unit Commissioner and Unit Committee
            -Visits should be made to inactive youth and adults
            -Finish recruiting and returning any applications and appropriate paperwork for new youth or adult members
       
        60 Days before the charter renewal date:
            -Log on to the council's website, www.muskingumvalleycouncil.com, click the Internet Rechartering link, enter your access code, and begin the process.  This window closes on 03/31
            *Reset "cookie" acceptance level to low for the site to operate*
       
        45 Days before the charter renewal date:
            -The Unit Commissioner and Unit Committee Chairman conduct the charter review meeting, which includes identifying youth and adults to reregister, completing forms, and collecting fees.
            -The Executive Officer of the charter organization or the Charter Organization Representative approves all volunteers and the Unit Leader certifies the youth to be registered
            -Participants of this meeting should include the Unit Commissioner, Charter Organization Representative, Executive Officer of the Charter Organization, Unit Leader, and all other unit volunteers
       
        28 Days before the charter renewal date:
               -Turn in charter renewal applications at your district's turn-in day  

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Muskingum Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America, in cooperation with community organizations, to provide a high quality Scouting program which will foster in young people a commitment to serve God and country, ethical moral character, personal fitness and good citizenship and also the development of mental maturity and leadership ability.
